Pricing and profitability analytics

Client data for segmentation, pricing and profitability. Python and SAS on large sets. Taxonomies and classification rules. Methodology the business can read. Two-path recon of the margin.

Service · Segment. Price. Tie the margin.

When this is the job

Price is a cell in a workbook. Margin is a slide. Segmentation has three taxonomies and no owner. Profitability cannot be recomputed from the same grain as finance. The next campaign ships on a number nobody can tie.

How it runs

Start at the client grain. Define the taxonomy once. Process and validate the large set in Python and SAS. Price and profitability as models with written decision criteria, not a black box. Recompute the margin two ways. Document the methodology for the teams that will use it on Tuesday.

  1. L1

    Taxonomy

    One classification. Applied uniformly. Traceable.

  2. L2

    Process

Python and SAS on the large set. Consistency between sources.

  3. L3

    Price

A model with criteria, not a cell.

  4. L4

    Margin

Two paths. If they differ, it is not a figure.

What you leave with

A pricing and profitability cut that survives a second person. Classification rules that apply uniformly. A margin that ties. Methodology on the page.
